Ainsley, the author tells me a little bit about how she started writing.
Ainsley, the author tells me a little bit about how she started writing.Writing has always been an important part of my everyday life – firstly, working in environmental research and then as a secondary Geography teacher. Now as a mother of three, I’ve started to write stories to entertain my sons and, I hope, other children.
What motivates you to write children stories?
- To entertain my 4 year old twins and 1.5 year old.
- The look of joy on my youngest son’s face as he carefully selects his story and brings it to me to read.
- When I asked family and friends for suggestions of “going to hospital” stories to share with our sons, I was told I should write one myself. That is an important story yet to be written.
What inspired you to write this story?
Our 1.5 year old loves playing peekaboo and having his toys play it with him.
